Do you love the present more than the past? (Fess up for now… and work on how you think it “should” be afterwards)
Honestly, I do love the present more than the past.
I love the stability in my life -even more now that I’m married. I think it’s important for one’s mental health to have strong foundations because these (or the absence of them) will affect your day-to-day life.
I usually joke saying that I prefer my life as a working woman than the one when I was a student because I had to manage with a very tight budget. I understand that “with great power comes great responsibility”, but give me adult present any day and forget the penniless, and therefore, non-independent teenage past.
My philosophy of life is that past times are just that, past, and that we must work to improve and to love our present.
